== Trivia ==

* As per its name, it has a handbrake beside the front left wheel that can be toggled by the player by clicking anywhere along its handle.
* It was originally able to hold 4 [[Cattle]], but this was patched in a later update.
* The Brake Van can be used to employ the Player Engine (P-Engine) glitch.
* It is one of 7 paintable Rolling Stock alongside the [[8 Ton Ore Hopper|8 Ton Ore Hopper,]] [[14 Ton Open Wagon]], [[16 Ton Tank Wagon]], [[20' Passenger Wagon]], [[18 Ton Covered Van]], and [[20 Ton Hopper Wagon|20t Hopper Wagon]].
* As it is meant to be at the end of a train, the Brake Van is equipped with four lamps, two on each end.
