==Description==
The '''KdNS Type 2'B'n2 Class B,''' also known as the '''Class B''', is a mainline 4-4-0 tender locomotive. Weighing around at 31.5 tons, this locomotive is the heaviest and fastest express-type engine in the game, offering a solid foundation for efficient operations. It is highly suitable as a railroad's mainline engine and is sure to be the pride of the line.

Under the hood, the Class B boasts a power output of 30653, ensuring that the engine can reach its full speed under moderately heavy loads. Its top speed of 56 mph allows for swift movement across the tracks, making it a reliable choice for time-sensitive transportation needs. However, it is less suitable for climbing steep grades or hauling heavy loads compared to six- or eight-coupled engines and may require double heading in those situations. 

Care must be taken while using the Class B, as while it is able to take steep curves at high speed, its cargo often cannot. Loaded hoppers and vans pulled by the B will easily tip over if the player fails to slow down in time due to its average braking power. On railroads with many steep curves and switches, the Class B can often prove to be more of a liability due to its speed causing frequent derailments. It is best used on flat, open maps where its speed can be utilized to great effect without many risky curves.

Usage of the Class B will require a [[Tender]] for fueling the machine as it does not have any onboard coal storage. 
==Trivia==
*The [[Class G]] formerly had a higher tractive effort than the Class B, but as of the 11/16/23 update the Class B took the lead. Ironically enough however, the Class B could pull a heavier load even before the update.
*The Class B is the first and only 4-4-0 locomotive added to the game.
*The Class B is directly inspired by the [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/SStB_%E2%80%93_Meidling,_H%C3%B6llenthal_und_Neunkirchen SStB "Meidling, Höllenthal and Neunkirchen"] locomotives, first built in 1856. These express engines saw service until 1890.
*According to GregTame, the long, unsupported length of the Class B's boiler resulted in the warping of the boiler and its tubes. This led to the development of the improved Class B2, which was made by taking an angle grinder to the boiler to make it a few feet shorter, adding a roofed cab, and converting it to an 0-6-0.
