==Description== The KdNS Type Dn Class H2, or simply Class H2 is an 0-8-0 tender engine. The H2 currently is tied with the Class H for the most coupled driving wheels of any loco in the game at 8 drivers. It is essentially the tender engine variant of the Class H and is currently the most expensive locomotive in the game. Like the Class H, the Class H2 is intended to be a heavy eight-coupled steam locomotive used for hauling heavy trains. The H2 is nearly twice as fast as the Class H and boasts a higher tractive effort, though its larger drivers and lighter weight mean it is much more prone to wheelslip. The Class H2 often finds itself unable to fully use its full tractive effort without slipping which limits the weight it can pull significantly. Though the H2 cannot pull as heavy trains as the Class H, the H2's top speed makes up for it. The Class H2 is a highly capable endgame engine, and is competitive with locomotives such as the Class K2 and Class J2. Those with a lot of money to throw around will find this engine quite enjoyable to operate. == Trivia == * The Class H2 was buffed in an update on December 23, 2024, which increased its weight from 36.3 tons to 39.8 tons. This solved the H2's significant issues from before the patch, where its light weight prevented it from making use of its high tractive effort due to excessive wheelslip. After the patch, the H2 became a much more capable locomotive. * Like the Class H, the Class H2's second and third pairs of driving wheels are "blind", lacking wheel flanges and guide spheres to allow the engine to take sharper turns without derailing. This is highly effective and as a result the Class H2 can take surprisingly sharp turns for a rigid eight-coupled engine. * The Class H2 is one of two engines in the game with an external Stephenson valve gear, the other being the Class H.
