== Description ==
Coal Valley is a map set in a temperate region with sparse forests and rolling hills. It is the easiest map to expand on due to it being largely flat with closely spaced industries, as well as said industries not being located at drastically different elevations allowing for easy and cheap expansion. It is an excellent map for beginner railroaders looking to get started.

Coal Valley's initial depot configuration offers:

* Two tracks and a switch

* 3x [[20' Flat Wagon|20' Flat Wagons]]
* 2x [[10 Ton Ballast Wagon|10 Ton Ballast Wagons]]

== Industries ==
There are 13 industry locations for players to interact with for transportation on this map. Coal Valley has the Distillery, which is a tier 2 location originally unique to this map ([[Maple Ridge]] now also has a distillery). The Distillery takes both [[Cordwood]] and [[Grain]] to create [[Rum]] that players can sell back at their [[Freight Depot]]. [[Rum]] can be transported in a [[Ballast Wagon]], a [[10 Ton Tank Wagon]], or a [[Open Wagon|14 Ton Open Wagon]].

* An upcoming map, Anthracite Plains, is expected to be a "Coal Valley 2.0" that improves upon the original.
