Description
The RSR 1A1T Class C, or more formally known among everyone as simply the Class C, is a small and nimble 2-2-2T tank engine that is almost always the railroader's first choice for a starter engine.

The engine's cheap purchase cost compared to the other engines at the nice price of $9,462 ensures it is easy to start off with it in every single map. It has a high top speed compared to the other early available locomotives, reaching upwards of 33 MPH, as well as being relatively lightweight at 21.5 tons. The engine can hold up to 650 coal, but can of course be increased with the help of a tender.

Its fast speed comes at the cost of pulling power; only having a single driving axle means that most of its weight is not used for traction, resulting in poor adhesion and a tractive effort of only 9769.

Trivia
* The Class C is the currently second cheapest of all engines, coming in at $9412 compared to the Class A0's $5114.
* It is currently one of eight tank engines in the game, others being the Class E, Class N, Class H, Class K2, Class I, Coffee pots and Class P.
* It has a 2-2-2 wheel configuration, which sports two leading wheels for stability at speed, two large (for its size) driving wheels, and two trailing wheels to support the coal bunker and tank.
* It is the weakest engine in the game with a tractive effort of only 9769. This is weaker than the cheapest engine in the game, the Class A0.
* The Class C is most likely based on the locomotive of the same name drawn up by Norman Clubb.
* The Class C is the default starting engine on Coal Valley, Scarlet Heights, Badlands and Gold Rush.
