== Description ==
The '''KdNS Type Bn'2 Class D1''', or simply the '''Class D1''' is a small 0-4-0 tender engine. The Class D1 is a quick, nimble engine that is quite powerful for its size. It is easily able to traverse tight turns and poorly laid trackage due to its short wheelbase.

At a price of only $11114 with better overall stats than most other engines in its price range, the Class D1 is an excellent choice to replace a map's default starting engine and it can carry the player into the midgame fairly easily on its own. Its decent weight and high tractive effort for its size allow it to pull fairly sizable loads. However, care must be taken not to overload the Class D1, as its braking performance is rather poor due to its small size. For heavier trains, the [[Class G]] is much more suitable at a similar cost. The Class D1 has a very average top speed of 24 mph.

== Trivia ==

* The Class D1 is the default starting engine on [[Hazel Sierra]].
