KdNS 3-Axle Tender
Appearance
Description
[edit | edit source]The KdNS 3-Axle tender is a six-wheeled, larger variant of the KdNS 2-Axle Tender. It's commonly used on the largest tender engines, such as the Class B and B2, Class J1 and J2, and the Class H and H2.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- It is the fourth, and currently the most recent tender added to Steam & Steel.
- Despite being the tender with the largest capacity, it is slightly lighter than the RSR 3-axle tender.
- It is currently the most expensive tender in the game.
- The center axle has no guide sphere nor collision, allowing the tender to take much sharper curves than it might appear capable of without derailing.
- Like all tenders in Steam & Steel, the tender's orientation is not important. It is capable of refueling an engine from either side, including two engines at once. Coupling a tender between two locomotives is an effective way to effectively double your pulling and braking power without needing to buy a second tender.
