RSR 3-Axle Tender
Appearance
Description
[edit | edit source]The RSR 3-Axle Tender is a six-wheeled, larger variant of the RSR 2-Axle Tender. It's currently the heaviest tender in-game, despite the KdNS 3-Axle Tender being able to carry more coal and water. It's commonly used for larger tender engines, such as the Class B and B2, Class J1 and J2, and the Class H. However, it can still carry extra coal for tank engines.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- The RSR 3-Axle Tender was the second tender added into Steam & Steel, the first being the RSR 2-Axle Tender.
- The RSR 3-Axle Tender holds the current record for the longest, and heaviest tender in the game.
- It previously held the record for the largest coal and water capacity, however the title now belongs to the KdNS 3-Axle Tender, despite it only weighing 15.6 tons.
- It's the only tender in-game with a default color of red, the same color used on the Class B and B2, and Class E, and the Coffeepot.
- Like all tenders in Steam & Steel, the tender's orientation is not important. It is capable of refueling an engine from either side, including two engines at once. Coupling a tender between two locomotives is an effective way to effectively double your pulling and braking power without needing to buy a second tender.
